Ticket and Pass Info

Fare Policy

Milton Transit offers a variety of convenient fare payment options for customers including: cash, single-ride tickets, day passes and monthly passes. Tickets and passes can be purchased in advance of your trip at any of our Ticket Agents. Tickets and passes are non-refundable and cannot be replaced if lost, damaged or stolen.

All tickets and passes remain the property of Milton Transit and cannot be altered or reproduced in any manner. Fare fraud is a serious offence; any unlawful use of Milton Transit fare media may result in confiscation and/or criminal charges.

Single-Ride Tickets

Milton Transit single-ride tickets must be purchased in books of ten (10) tickets. Upon boarding, insert the ticket into the bills section of the farebox.

Day Passes

Day passes are valid for unlimited trips as indicated on the pass. A single day pass can be used by one adult or senior, and up to three (3) youth, 19 years of age and under. Day passes must be validated by the operator for the day it is being used. Once validated, and for all ensuing trips, the day pass can simply be shown to the operator upon boarding.

Monthly Passes

Monthly passes are valid for unlimited trips during the month indicated on the face of the pass. Clearly present your monthly pass to the operator upon boarding. Milton Transit is not responsible for the replacement of lost, damaged or stolen passes. Monthly passes can be purchased in advance at any of our Ticket Agents and are available for purchase during the following time periods:

July Pass:

 June 13, 2018 through July 18, 2018

August Pass:

 July 18, 2018 through August 15, 2018

September Pass:

 August 15, 2018 through September 12, 2018

October Pass:

 September 12, 2018 through October 17, 2018

November Pass:

 October 17, 2018 through November 14, 2018

December Pass:

 November 14, 2018 through December 19, 2018

Transit Tax Credit

The Government of Canada no longer offers a program to provide Canadians a non-refundable tax credit to help cover the cost of public transit. Customers who purchased Milton Transit monthly passes January 1, 2017 to June 30, 2017 are eligible to claim this credit on their 2017 Income Tax Returns. Remember to keep your monthly passes for income tax purposes, as we cannot reissue receipts or replace lost passes.
